Choose the 6-crew Catalina 22 or the 8-crew Catalina 25. On board are fire extinguisher, first aid kit, air horn, life jackets, boom mounted mainsail, working jib and genoa jib, auxiliary engine, swim ladder, boat hook, whisker pole, extra line, lake charts, running lights, porta-potty, cockpit cushions and bow-mounted anchor. All boats have interior cabin space with dinette, restroom and salon seating.

Boat Rental…First-time renters take a one-hour orientation check-sail offered at instructional rates, in addition to rental fees. Cancellations must be made up to 24 hours before sailing to avoid charges. No fees are charged if cancellation is due to weather. Single-handing permitted if qualified. Responsible renting persons must be 25 or older.

New sailor instruction covers sail handling, anchoring, motoring, piloting, safety, rules of the road and crew management. General good health and moderate athletic ability are the only prerequisites. All instruction takes place on the water. Many students sail the lake after only 8 hours of instruction!

Instruction is $35/hr for the first student and $5/hr for each additional student.

Bring personal items such as cameras, binoculars, sun block, sailing gloves, extra clothing, sun-protecting headgear, and sunglasses. Klamath is a mountain lake and can be very chilly and windy! Non-scuff deck shoes are required. Bring food, refreshments and bottled water. Avoid items such as candy bars, pizza, fried chicken or chips. Responsible parties must refrain from the influence of alcohol. Children age 13 and under must wear life preservers (provided), while on deck. Smoking permitted on deck.

Boats are docked at Pelican Marina, 928 Front Street, (541) 882 5834. Meridian boats are moored on the left (south) side of "C"-Dock (left-most lake dock) and are plainly marked. Prepare to meet Meridian staff at the boats 10 minutes prior to sailing.
